Chairman, Ambata Capital Africa

• As chairman, Ted oversees all investment and advisory activities in Africa, including client and strategic relationships.  In addition, he serves on the board and chairs the investment committee of Shanduka Africa Investments, an investment company joint venture with Shanduka Group.
• Ted was previously CEO of Deutsche Bank South Africa, the leading investment banking and equities franchise in the region.  He is also currently a board member of Standard Bank, the largest bank in South Africa and a leading bank throughout Southern Africa.
• Ted has a bachelor's degree in commerce from University of The Witwatersrand and an M.B.A. from University of Cape Town.  He is a chartered accountant in South Africa, a CFA charterholder, and has attended the summer Finance program at Stanford.
