Paul Mason

COO, Ambata Capital Africa

• Prior to joining Ambata, Paul was the Regional Chief Operating Officer and Director of Credit Suisse Standard Securities (CSSS), a joint venture between Credit Suisse and Standard Bank.  In this capacity, Paul served on the CSSS Board, Executive Committee, Remuneration Committee, and Audit and Risk Committee.  He also served on the Transformation Committee, with responsibility for Support, Finance, Operations, Middle Office, Technology, Credit Risk and Market Risk departments.
• Prior to CSSS, Paul spent 7 years as European COO of the Prime Services Division and Equities Derivatives and Convertibles Unit of Credit Suisse.  In his role with Prime Services, Paul spent considerable time focusing on the development of products and services in South Africa and the Middle East.
• Prior to Credit Suisse, Paul was the Operations Supervisor for Equity Capital Markets at Morgan Stanley International and a computer systems operator for Bank of Melbourne.  Paul began his career in finance at Westpac Banking Corporation in 1986.
