Managing Director - Ambata Capital Middle East

• Daniel has 8 years of experience in management consulting and industry in Europe and the Middle East, with a focus on utilities, renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainability topics.
• Prior to Ambata, Daniel was a Senior Associate at Booz & Company based in Dubai.  In this role Daniel advised policymakers, governments, regulatory authorities, and private-sector institutions on low carbon & sustainability topics, leading engagements across the utilities (power, water, wastewater, district cooling) and renewable energy (solar, wind, geothermal, bioenergy) sectors.
• Before joining Booz & Company in Dubai, Daniel spent four years with the global management consultancy A.T. Kearney in Amsterdam. Daniel started his career in the environmental department of DEG (the private sector development bank of the German government, today part of KfW Group), where he evaluated the environmental performance of the bank’s projects in developing countries.
• Daniel is the co-author of several studies on the potential for renewable energy in Europe and the Middle East.
• Daniel holds a master’s degree in International Business from Maastricht University, the Netherlands. A German citizen, he is fluent in English, German, Dutch, and Spanish.
